Fundraising update on the incredible Family Fun Day that took place at our Market Weighton Office on Saturday, June 17th, 2023. This event truly had something for everyone, ensuring that all attendees, regardless of age or interest, had a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable day.
We successfully raised an impressive sum of £962.70 by organising a prize raffle, a tombola, and a contest to guess the number of balloons required to fill the defender.
This is to support both the local food bank in Market Weighton, The People’s Pantry, and The Care Workers Charity, we have decided to round up the amount to £1000 which will be split equally between these two very worthy causes.
The event was an absolute delight, offering an extensive range of activities and attractions to ensure a fantastic experience for all attendees.
Here’s a recap of the wonderful elements that made the day truly special:
• An exciting bouncy castle obstacle course provided exhilarating fun for participants of all ages.
• The inflatable soft play area offered a safe and enjoyable space for children to engage in active play.
• Outdoor games created an atmosphere of friendly competition and entertainment, bringing families together.
• A skilled magician captivated the audience with awe-inspiring tricks and illusions who was also a talented balloon animal maker added a touch of whimsy by crafting delightful creations for children.
• Professional face painters transformed the faces of attendees into colourful and imaginative designs.
• A lively DJ kept the energy high, providing a vibrant soundtrack and ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the day.
• A dedicated candy floss station served unique fluffy and delectable treats, satisfying everyone’s sweet tooth.
• Various trade stalls showcased an array of products and services, allowing visitors to explore and support local businesses.
• A mobile bar catered to the refreshment needs of attendees, offering a wide selection of beverages.
• Food vendors tantalised taste buds with a diverse range of culinary delights, catering to different preferences.
• An alpaca petting experience allowed families to interact with these gentle creatures, creating lasting memories.
• Lastly, a fun dog show entertained both dog owners and enthusiasts, showcasing the talents and charm of our furry friends.
