Training

The Training Team have more than 100 combined years of experience of working in a range of different care settings. We are passionate about our values and believe this shines through our training and induction, which covers all fundamental training which gives our team members the confidence and tools to offer our service users the highest quality of care.

We offer paid in-depth induction and continuous training throughout employment at NCCN. The induction training covers:

  • First Aid
  • Health and Safety
  • Moving and Positioning
  • The Care Certificate
  • Medication Administration
  • GDPR
  • Mental Capacity Act
  • The role of a support worker
  • And more.

We encourage and support team members who aspire and to develop their skill set and knowledge, through additional training and qualifications. This could be through an apprenticeship or through additional continuous personal development (CPD).

If an individual has specific needs we are able to deliver bespoke care training in addition to training for those who employ their personal assistants through Personal Budgets, Nursing Homes, Residential Homes and Domiciliary Care Companies. Training can be delivered in your workplace or at our Training Unit in Market Weighton to ensure continuous professional development.

Sue – Registered Manager: 20+ years’ experience in care, L5 Diploma in Adult Health and Social Care Leadership, Moving and Handling, Risk Assessments, and First Aid Train the Trainer, Level 2 in counselling, ROSPA People Handling and Risk Assessment Key Trainer’s Certificate, ERYC Medication Management Train the Trainer.

Marie – Learning Disabilities Team Manager: 20+ years’ experience in care, Health and Social Care Level 2, 3 and 5 Leadership and Management, A1 Assessor Award, PTLLS Level 3 Award, Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care for Children and Young Adults, Diploma in Operations Management, Manual Handling Train the Trainer and Project Management.

Emma – Nurse Consultant (RGN): Diploma of Higher Education in Adult Nursing and 20+ years of experience, MHFA.

Charlotte Clarkson – Training Manager – L5 Diploma in Adult Health and Social Care Leadership, L4 People Handling and Risk, L3 First Aid at Work instructor, Safeguarding Instructor, Health and Safety Compliance Instructor, MHFA.

Karl – Learning Disabilities Coordinator: 15 year’s care experience, L5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care, MHFA, PBS, Train the Trainer and Dementia Friend’s champion.
