Awards Finalists

November 2023 has certainly been an exciting month for the NCCN family, after being selected as finalists not for one awards ceremony but two!

Starting with the Great British care Awards in Leeds on 02nd November where Sue was shortlisted as a finalist in the Yorkshire region for Homecare Registered Manager award and Bernie and Karl were shortlisted as finalists for the Yorkshire Region Home Care Coordinator category! We had a fabulous night celebrating all the finalists and winners across the Social Care Sector. Unfortunately we didn’t scoop the winners title but Karl won the ‘highly commended’ title in his category which means he will be heading to the National Finals in March 2024! Therefore the interview and shortlisting process will begin all over again, so we wish Karl the best of luck for this and have everything crossed!

From there we headed to The Family Business Community Yorkshire and Humberside Awards on 10th November. NCCN was selected as finalists for the ‘Business Services Award’ and ‘Best Social Impact Award’ additionally Sue was up for another award being selected as a finalist for ‘Employee of the Year Award’ going up against 18 other amazing candidates. The process to get to this point had been particularly enjoyable, meeting the judges for each category and reminiscing with them and each other about the start up of the business and how it has evolved and changed over the 30+ years we have been active. Unfortunately, it wasn’t our night however, the night was fantastic, the awards ceremony was incredibly touching and meeting other businesses with a family ethos and values like ours was thoroughly enjoyable.

Maybe 2024 will be our year?
